Security Guard (Armed & Unarmed Positions)
We are seeking dedicated, professional security guards to join our !Queen City Elite team. Candidates will be responsible for protecting people, property, and assets while maintaining a visible security presence and ensuring client safety through vigilant observation and appropriate response to security incidents.
Responsibilities
• Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle.
• Monitor surveillance and alarm systems.
• Control facility access and verify identification.
•Respond to emergencies, disturbances, and security breaches.
• Write incident reports and maintain accurate logs.
• Provide courteous, professional customer service.
• Support law enforcement or emergency personnel as needed.
Requirements (Unarmed Security Officers)
• Minimum 18 years of age; U.S. citizen or lawful resident.
• Clean criminal history and good moral character per PPSB standards.
• Completion of 16 hours of approved unarmed security training within 30 days of hire (includes legal issues, emergency response, patrol, and report writing).
• Must register with PPSB and renew annually.
• Fingerprinting and background check required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Additional Requirements (Armed Security Officers)
• Must first meet all unarmed guard requirements.
• Completion of 20-hour PPSB-approved armed training, including firearm laws, safety, live-fire, and night qualification.
• Must obtain and maintain a PPSB Armed Guard Firearm Permit with annual requalification.
Preferred Experience & Skills
• 2+ years of security, military, or law enforcement experience.

• Ability to stay calm under pressure and handle emergencies effectively.
